| CITIZENS COMMUNITY BANK APPOINTS THOMAS J. EMERY EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT & SENIOR CREDIT OFFICER |
Ridgewood, NJ, September 10th, 2006 — Richard C. Lanza, President of Citizens Community Bank in Ridgewood, New Jersey, announced the appointment of Thomas J. “Tom” Emery to
the post of Executive Vice President and Senior Credit Officer of Citizens Community Bank of Ridgewood, New Jersey. In his new position, Emery becomes a member of senior management at CCB and all credit functions of the bank report directly to him.
Mr. Emery is a highly skilled credit and marketing executive with an extensive track record in all facets of banking. He has considerable experience in lending, marketing, compliance, and bank administration, and his background includes corporate banking, international banking, private banking, and time spent as a senior line officer.
Prior to his appointment at Citizens Community Bank, Emery spent eight years with Liberty Bank of New York in New York City, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer. While there, he arranged the successful merge of Liberty Bank into Wilshire State Bank from Los Angeles, California. Prior to his appointment as President and CEO, he was Liberty Bank’s Senior Credit Officer. Before coming to Liberty Bank of New York, Emery served in senior managerial positions at Bank of America and HSBC Bank.

Emery currently lives in Ridgewood, and remains active even outside the office. He was recently elected to the Board of Directors of The Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce, and has been active in community affairs within New Jersey. He served on the Finance Committee for Bret Schundler’s 2001 and 2005 run for the New Jersey Governor’s Office. Emery has been an instructor at New York University (NYU) in International Banking, held a field leadership position in the U.S. Army and National Guard (NJ), and is a member of The FENG (Financial Executives Networking Group). He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.
